OLED TVs, unlike traditional LED TVs, utilize organic light-emitting diodes to produce stunning picture quality. Each pixel in an OLED panel emits its own light, eliminating the need for a separate backlight. This enables individual pixel control, resulting in perfect blacks and infinite contrast ratios.

Key Components:

OLED Panel: The heart of the TV, consisting of millions of tiny OLEDs arranged in a grid.
Substrate: A transparent base supporting the OLED panel, usually made of glass or flexible plastic.
Electrodes: Anode and cathode layers sandwiching the organic layers, enabling electricity flow.
Organic Layers:
Emissive Layer: Contains organic compounds that emit light when an electric current passes.
Conductive Layer: Transports electrical charges (holes) from the anode.
TFT Backplane: Controls individual pixel activation and light output.
Color Filters: Red, green, and blue filters create the full color spectrum.
Working:

When electricity is applied, electrons and holes recombine in the emissive layer, releasing energy in the form of light. The color of the emitted light depends on the specific organic material used. Each pixel can be turned on or off independently, achieving true blacks by simply turning off the corresponding pixel. This results in superior contrast, vibrant colors, and wide viewing angles.

OLED TVs offer an unparalleled viewing experience, particularly in dark rooms where their perfect blacks shine. However, they are generally more expensive than LED TVs.
