For several years, WEY has not been very successful in selling its vehicles. To attract attention, she offered buyers a retro car. This style has never interested Chinese car companies. Interest only appeared after Phil Simmons, who worked as a designer at Land Rover, got down to business. His ideas are highly regarded in the automotive industry. Now let's take a closer look at the new product!
The distinctive design that the new Volga of 2021 received sets it apart from the stream of other cars. With its appearance, it resembles cars of the 1940-50s. He reminded Chinese journalists of the American Chrysler PT Cruiser and the Soviet GAZ M-20 Pobeda. Will it only sell successfully or will it become a model for amateurs? Time will show.
If you look at the profile of the Chinese Victory, you can see a repetition of the silhouette of the "old school". From the side, it no longer resembles the Soviet KIM-10-50, because of its proportions. Still, the appearance of the Soviet minicar was more modest.
The manufacturer himself called the WEY V72 - a crossover, although it has a fastback body, like the "Victory" released in the Soviet Union.
The hood took up almost one third of the entire length of the car. The smooth displacement of the roof lines downward forms a shape in the form of the stern of the boat.
The profile of the V72 bears a resemblance to the classic Rolls Royce. But the GAZ-M20 is also similar to it. See for yourself. The large radiator grille was propped up by massive wheel arches. It turned out to be a pretty impressive image. Despite the fact that the headlights have an antique look, they are LED. New Victory in 2021.
The retro style exterior is complemented by two striking details:
• The first is the rims. As in the 50-60s of the last century, they have a large number of spokes covered with iridescent chrome.
• The second is the rear lights. The rear fenders were also designed with laconic elements in the edging.

In terms of performance, under the hood will be a mild hybrid system with a 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 214 hp. and a 48-volt starter-generator. All this will be paired with a 9-speed robot. Many motorists liked the Chinese novelty Wey V72 2021 and would like to become its owners if the car has such a good ground clearance as Wey Mocha. Until the car went on sale, it is not known at what cost it will be sold.
