Exploring a '78 IH Transtar 4300 Eagle
I couldn't resist stopping to check out this sweetheart of an International Transtar 4300 Eagle. Straight out of the 70's, this truck has all the trappings of old school cool: a groovy paint scheme WITH PINSTRIPING!! a crawl-through McLaughlin (later bought out by Bentz) Spring ride, mechanical Cummins power, and steelie 2 hole wheels just to name a few.
Personally, I'd love to see someone update this truck's powertrain to big power, more gears in the tranny, and an air-ride rear clip; but still retain the 70's look & charm. But hey, it's not everyone's cup of tea. I know some folks turn up their noses at anything that's not a Peterbilt 379; but I find out-of-the-ordinary incredibly cool.
