Treatment of bees from Varroa mite with oxalic acid | Full instructions
The process of treating bees from the Varroa mite with an evaporator and oxalic acid is shown.
The evaporator for the treatment of bees is designed to combat the disease of bees - varroatosis.
Before working with oxalic acid, the evaporator must be burned for 10-15 minutes by connecting it to a power source
The order of work in the apiary:
1. The upper notch of the hive must be closed during processing
2. Pour 2-3 g of oxalic acid crystals into the well of the evaporator body, connect the plug to the power source, insert the evaporator body into the lower entrance of the hive and hold for 2.5-3 minutes while processing the first evidence. When processing subsequent hives, the exposure time can be reduced to 1.5-2 minutes.
4. After removing the evaporator from the hive, the lower entrance is covered so that its length is 9-10 mm and kept in this position for 25-30 minutes, after which both entrances are opened.
5. The evaporator must be used at an air temperature of 0 to 35 degrees C.
Do not touch the hot evaporator body.
In the process of processing bees, it is necessary to comply with safety requirements in terms of protecting the organs of vision and breathing from exposure to oxalic acid vapors.
