i am still shocked at the fact that this was actually verified, so forgive me if this description is pretty scattered. i am simply so amazed that seels actually managed to verify it, considering it was made to be a completely impossible level. aquamarine is a level which is often disliked by the community for valid reasons, and also has some unclear history, so allow me to clear it up.
around three years ago, there was a challenge made by cursed called I Cry. he verified it and it was later placed on the challenge list. it only comprised of the 32-36 section twice in a row, being a remake of diamond dance from sakupen circles, and 'i see' which was diamond dance x2. although this was short and not really relevant, i enjoyed the concept a lot to the point where i wanted to extend it out into a full sakupen circles remake, then known as 'i cry full'. i had no intention of ever making a level that is now this massively well known in the community, but i suppose that's simply how some things start. i first created a completely new 66-100 section on my own, including decoration, and eventually made the rest of the wave gameplay and deco. i had help from @scorpionGD with polishing the deco in the wave, which i greatly appreciate. i also didn't have any idea on what decoration to do for the predrop, but @TaikaN came up with a screenshot of structures and other ideas, which was great enough to use for the entire predrop. with that, 'i cry full' had been made, which i quickly renamed to Aquamarine. and also, to clear up a common misconception, no version of 'unnerfed aquamarine' ever existed. the spam challenge with that name just used it as a symbolisation in the same way as sakupen circles. the version seels has verified IS the unnerfed version.
the rest of the story is pretty self explanatory. the level blew up so much to the point where it was basically euphoric at first, but for valid reasons a lot of people didn't like it. yes, it is a sloppy, unoriginal remake. but that was it's intended purpose, and i simply didn't expect it to come this far. this was why i did not want anyone to redecorate it at all. i know a lot of people have attempted it, and i appreciate that people like the level enough to the point of wanting to improve it, but i believe the creating talent is far better spent elsewhere. this level is meant to be a generic nine circles/sakupen circles spinoff, and the current deco perfectly symbolises that. it doesn't need to be anything greater than what it currently is. and of course, this does have some downsides. this level will likely never be rated, not only because of the very outdated deco, but because it was also verified with cbf. although it would have been amazing to see a level i made be placed near the very top of the demon list, this level does not deserve it. i also understand if you are annoyed that the level was verified with cbf, but considering it likely wouldn't be rated regardless, it shouldn't matter that much. regardless of the fact that this won't get rated, i am very happy and satisfied that it was verified at all. thank you so much again to seels for taking to time to actually complete it. i don't know when i will post another video again, but thank you all for the amount of growth this channel has received. i deeply appreciate it.
