Silent Hill is a game that's not easy to compete with if you are a developer trying to make a similar game. But when the creators of Resident Evil decide to give it a try, you obviously know that the result will be satisfying. The Evil Within was born from the idea of making a game that could compete with both Silent Hill and Resident Evil without being a replica of them. It's a game that uses the psychological side perfectly, where the protagonist is lost in a realm that looks real and fictional at the same time, which is the same strong point of Silent Hill games. The Evil Within also succeeds in portraying a memorable antagonist who has a deep history and motives to make you interested in his story even more. This is why I think it's necessary to explain the deep story of The Evil Within and also discover the backstory behind its main characters.
