Dr. Jeffery Nerad Pray for Phoenix
A 9 year old girl and her mother are featured on tonight’s story with Dr Nerad. The young girl had a viral infection in January and was a victim of Steven’s Johnson Syndrome and is now blind. Her mother was referred by their ophthalmologist in Alabama to see Dr Holland for stem cell corneal surgery. Dr Holland, of course, asked Dr Nerad to help… Dr Nerad was able to do reconstructive work on the girl’s eyelids prior to any corneal work. The story starts with a postop visit with the family and Dr Nerad and we and CH 12 will continue to follow the young lady with her stem cell surgery in September.
