I hope this new piece of music lifts your spirits a little in these hard times!
(Tim) translates as 'This is me' I wrote this song when we were in lockdown when a lot of bad things were happening in the world. It drew inspiration from many places my younger sister who was growing into her teens and asking me if she is beautiful. I was playing fortnite online with an 8 years old kid. He sounded sad that day and started crying and I asked what’s wrong ? I remember he said to me I don’t like my fornite skin and I want to buy new skin but my dad refused. He said all my friends have a good skins but I don’t. I asked why would you like to be in another skin and he said he would be accepted by his friends if he had that skin and he needed it to stay cool and ahead in the game. After these experiences I had and many more I see online, people being influenced by what appears to be perfection and ultimate beauty. I decided to write the song This is me inspired by knowing I am what I am and loving the skin you're in. I think it's important to remember perfection is not something we should be aiming for in life and there is no such thing. All we can strive for is personal happiness and self acceptance. Love yourself more be grateful and most of all be yourself.
Musically speaking I really wanted to explore different sounds and push my own sonic boundaries as a producer with a fresh approach.
I literally had the best time recording the vocals in my studio in London while mixing my old culture with my new life. Stay safe. Love you guys. Xxx,
