FIX Ring Video Doorbell PRO Power issue won't power on after changing to high capacity transformer
I was changing the transformer for my Ring Video Doorbell PRO because I was having power issues where the doorbell would freeze when someone rang it. Sometimes it would ring the indoor chime and then shut off. Basically the video feed would stop and the Ring Doorbell PRO unit would have to boot up again. I decided to get a more powerful transformer and when I started installing it, I had to run some errands and the doorbell was without power for about 2 hours. When I installed everything, the doorbell would not power on. I tried everything and checked my wiring. There is a secret cover on the Ring Doorbell PRO on the left hand side where you can plug in a Micro USB cable and try charging the unit until it powers on and then it should work when you install it. I plugged it in to a computer and then it finally powered on. Nothing happened when I had it plugged in to a wall outlet and nothing happened until I plugged it in to a computer. I have heard that you may need to leave it plugged in for up to 24 hours.
