"Nyårsklockan" - (Ring Out, Wild Bells)
Ring Out, Wild Bells is a poem by Alfred Tennyson from 1850. The Swedish translation was written by Edvard Fredin in 1889, the same year Fredin died at the age of 32. Since the mid 1890s, it has been a tradition in Sweden for the poem to be recited publicly during the countdown to midnight at Skansen, Stockholm, which is today broadcasted on television.
