NOTE: The Apollo 13 trailer was also seen on my 1997 THX certified VHS release of Liar Liar, which also has the trailer of the same movie I’m doing the VHS opening to in this video
NOTE #2: This is one of the various movies that Eddie Murphy has even been in where he has to voice several characters, the next time he ever did this (if so) would have to be in 2007 for Norbit.
NOTE #3: This is one of Universals very last movies to ever be released during MCAs lifespan before it was reincorporated as Universal Studios in 1996, and also, this came out on VHS almost an entire month before the reincorporation happened (as if, The Nutty Professor was released on VHS on November 12, 1996 and MCA was reincorporated as Universal Studios on December 9, 1996 after being around for as long as 72 years to be exact, MCA was formed in 1924 as Music Corporation of America and in 1958 as MCA, Inc. when they purchased Universal, but the merger didn’t happen until 1962)
Fun fact (I think): There was initially a short lived version of the 1997-2012 Universal Pictures logo where it was the same as the one in 1997 when it officially came out, but with AN MCA COMPANY byline shown on the bottom which would last from December 9, 1996 (when it came out as a print logo) until May 16, 1997 (the week before the logo officially came out with Jurassic Park: The Lost World), but due to reincorporation of MCA happening the same day as the print release of the 1997-2012 Universal Pictures logo, that never happened and it was never used. Because of this happening, in December of 1996, early 1997 and early May 1997, they had to use the bylineless version of the 1990-1997 Universal Pictures logo, causing Universal to delay the official logo release of the 1997-2012 Universal Pictures logo.
