I've been going back and forth about this since I started playing the game. I can't deny that it feels like a Souls game to me, but I also haven't played an Armored Core game in depth since the first one. The combat and in particular the challenge feels very much like Souls game to me.
But then I have to ask the question: What is it that makes a Souls game a Souls game?
