Did this test purely out of morbid curiosity. I shot on both cameras with the same PL mount 85mm lens and used the same 2.1 4x5.56 ND Filter on both cameras to lower any possibility of color shift due to NDs.
I used 8K X-OCN LT for the Burano and 4K DCI XAVC S-I for the FX3 which is its highest quality mode. Due to differences in sensor tolerances, the FX3 was a few points warmer out of camera so I adjusted using only 3-4 points of blue with printer lights. I used the same Rec.709 transform on both cameras.
The Burano is certainly sharper but that comes as a surprise to nobody. I am really impressed with how well the FX3 matches. Sony has done a great job of unifying their color sciences so that these cameras can all be cut together well.
